Text messanging for toddlers

LeapFrog has created a blackberry for toddlers.

The LeapFrog Text & Learn, which is scheduled to arrive in U.S. stores this summer, is modeled after a personal digital assistant and allows children to practice spelling and computer skills with games that emulate text messaging, the New York Daily News reported Wednesday.

"Busy 3-year-olds will love to 'play' like their parents do," LeapFrog wrote in the description for the $21.99 toy.

No word as to if the toy will teach toddlers how to spell using text language and smileys ;) .

Obama toy fights Darth Vader

A Japanese toy company has made an Obama action figure that can fight Darth Vader with his light saber.

Gamu-Toys' Obama Action Man figurine also can battle against enemies, both foreign and domestic, with a samurai sword or, in a less bellicose stance, be posed casually with a coat jacket slung over his shoulder, The Daily Telegraph reported Saturday.

The Japanese dolls are one-sixth scale, standing roughly 12 inches high, and come with plenty of accessories, such as outfits and weapons, which are not included as part of the basic package. Prices of the Obama Action Man dolls were not provided.

I know that Obama stays in shape, but I doubt he does it with samari swords.

Star wars toy uses brain waves

A new star wars toy "the force" will function through the users brain waves.

Uncle Milton Industries said The Force Trainer, which uses brain wave technology developed by NeuroSky, allows players to use their brainwaves to move a sphere within a 10-inch-tall tower, USA Today reported Wednesday.

"When you concentrate, it activates the training remote," said Frank Adler, an executive vice president with Uncle Milton Industries. "There is a flow of air that will move the (ball). You can actually feel like you are in a zone."

That is so cool! Unfortunatly it will retail for around $100.
